Software Quality Assurance Engineer – Practice Management System

About the role

Medcare MSO is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join its HealUs QA Team in Lahore. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of web‑based EHR applications within the Practice Management System (PMS) domain.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to create and maintain QA artifacts.
• Execute functional, regression, database, and API testing on web‑based EHR applications.
• Review requirements and design documents to guarantee comprehensive test coverage.
• Prepare test estimates, detailed test plans, and document execution results.
• Validate HL7 files and CCDA documents, and perform database validation using SQL.
• Identify, document, and report bugs via JIRA, Azure DevOps or TestRail.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure traceability of test cases to requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 + years of QA experience, preferably in Healthcare IT.
• Strong knowledge of the U.S. healthcare PMS domain and hands‑on experience with at least two of the following modules: Patient Demographics, Scheduler, Encounter, Labs, Medication, Immunization, CCDA, HL7 file validation.

Required skills

• SQL for database validation.
• API testing using Postman.
• Proficiency with QA and test‑management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail.
• Familiarity with HL7 and CCDA standards.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
