Staff Accountant – UK GAAP & IFRS Focus

About the role

HCA Consulting Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support its UK‑based operations from our Lahore office. You will handle core accounting tasks, ensure compliance with UK/IFRS standards, and contribute to month‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile credit‑card and bank accounts, manage AP/AR, invoicing and bill payments.
• Enter journal entries and perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Lead monthly closing and reporting, including consolidated reports for the holding company and its portfolio.
• Support operating companies and newly onboarded entities with accounting and finance needs.
• Assist with audit requests, internal controls, and implementation of consistent accounting practices.

Required profile

• ACCA/ICMA finalist with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6 to 48 months of relevant experience, preferably in public or corporate accounting.
• Exposure to UK GAAP and ability to work autonomously.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem‑solving and customer‑service skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero or Microsoft Business Central.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the MS Office suite.
