Tax Specialist (Enrolled Agent) – U.S. Tax Returns

About the role

Creative Chaos is looking for a diligent Tax Specialist who is a certified Enrolled Agent to join its finance team. You will prepare and review U.S. tax returns, advise clients on tax planning, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review U.S. individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, etc.).
• Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, and structuring matters.
• Represent clients before the IRS in audits, appeals, and collection cases.
• Assist with IRS notices, tax controversy matters, and ITIN applications.
• Coordinate with accounting and legal teams on tax issues and stay current with tax law updates.

Required profile

• Current Enrolled Agent (EA) credential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of U.S. tax preparation and consulting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. tax codes for individuals and small businesses.

Required skills

• Tax preparation software (Drake, ProSeries, UltraTax or similar).
• FATCA, FBAR, and foreign asset reporting.
• QuickBooks or other accounting software.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
