Technical Support Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Computer User Support Specialist to work full‑time. This role involves providing technical assistance to end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining IT systems. The specialist will resolve technical problems and ensure minimal downtime for users across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level technical support via phone, email, or chat for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Diagnose and resolve computer system problems, including operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams while tracking and documenting resolution progress.
• Assist with user account management, including password resets and access provisioning.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure compliance with software licensing agreements.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a computer user support or help desk role.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems and common software applications.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to explain technical solutions to non‑technical users.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Zendesk for issue tracking.
• Customer service orientation with a focus on responsiveness and clear communication.
