Truck Dispatch Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Truck Dispatch Manager to lead our dispatch team, optimize driver routing, and ensure efficient, profitable fleet operations. You will manage daily dispatch activities, enforce DOT compliance, and drive high standards for driver retention and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, schedule, and train the dispatch team; set KPIs such as on‑time delivery and driver retention.
• Direct load assignment and route planning using TMS/GPS to maximize revenue and reduce deadhead miles.
• Act as the main escalation point for drivers, handling operational issues, route adjustments, and schedule delays.
• Enforce FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service rules, and ELD compliance across the fleet.
• Track key metrics including cost‑per‑mile, fleet utilization, fuel efficiency, and weekly gross revenue.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in trucking dispatch, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Hands‑on experience with load board platforms such as DAT, Truck Stop, and 123 Load board.
• Thorough understanding of DOT/FMCSA rules, HOS logs, and equipment types.
