ACCA Trainee

About the role

This position is designed for an ACCA finalist with 1–3 papers remaining, offering a comprehensive exposure to finance and accounting functions within a dynamic organization. The role combines cost analysis, budgeting, tax compliance, and financial reporting to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Compare actual costs to budgets, analyse variances and standard cost data.
• Maintain inventory valuations and perform monthly stock counts and reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting, MIS preparation and monthly account closing.
• Prepare landed cost sheets, analyse import costs and support profitability analysis.
• Process vendor payments, petty cash, fixed assets and manage receivable recoveries.
• Conduct tax assessments, file income tax and sales tax returns, and ensure compliance with Companies Ordinance and SECP directives.
• Maintain relationships with banks, monitor daily cash flows and reconcile bank statements.
• Support preparation of Board of Directors and Group Executive Committee working papers and presentations.

Required profile

• ACCA finalist (1–3 papers remaining).
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills and professional ethics.
