Accountant – Full-time Permanent Position

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join our Chartered Accountancy practice on a full‑time, permanent basis. The role involves preparing financial accounts, supporting working papers, and handling year‑end adjustments for a range of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial accounts from trial balances, Excel records and other source documents.
• Develop supporting working papers in Excel.
• Execute year‑end adjustments and journal entries such as accruals, prepayments, depreciation and deferred income.
• Reconcile key control accounts including bank, tax and loan accounts.
• Prepare corporate and income tax computations and submit them electronically.
• Communicate findings via email and verbal discussions.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification – ACCA, ACA, BBA (Hons) or equivalent.
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
• Experience handling UK accounts or bookkeeping is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software such as CCH, Iris, TaxCalc, Xero, Sage or Quickbooks.
