Accountant with UK Accounting Experience

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our Lahore office and support the financial operations of a UK‑based company. The role focuses on bookkeeping, VAT compliance, bank reconciliation and reporting in line with UK accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records according to company policies and UK standards.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoice handling.
• Post journal entries and preserve general ledger integrity.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify cash balances.
• Manage VAT records and prepare VAT returns in compliance with tax regulations.
• Utilise QuickBooks and Excel to record transactions and generate financial reports.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting by analysing financial data.
• Provide documentation and support during external audits.
• Ensure confidentiality and adhere to ethical accounting practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to UK accounting standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working UK office hours from Lahore.
