Accounting Supervisor – US Clients

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead our bookkeeping team serving multiple US‑based clients. Based in Islamabad, you will oversee the full accounting cycle, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and act as the primary point of contact for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end bookkeeping for several US clients, including general ledger maintenance, month‑end and year‑end closings.
• Supervise a team of junior accountants and bookkeepers: assign daily tasks, review work, provide coaching, and ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, vendor bill payments, and customer invoicing.
• Perform bank, credit‑card, loan and balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Review payroll processing for assigned clients and ensure accurate, compliant entries.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, analysing variances and delivering insights.
• Communicate professionally with clients, respond to queries, and gather missing documentation.
• Identify and implement improvements to internal accounting procedures and uphold SOPs.

Required profile

• ACCA, CA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably with US‑based clients.
• Proven experience supervising or leading an accounting team.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and competing deadlines.
