Senior Accounting and External Reporting Analyst

About the role

Mondelēz International is hiring a Senior Accounting and External Reporting Analyst in Karachi. Under broad supervision, you will reconcile and adjust general ledger accounts and bank statements, perform moderately complex performance analyses, and compile, consolidate and analyse accounting and finance information for financial statements and reports. The role supports accurate and timely U.S. GAAP reporting and statutory financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile and adjust general ledger accounts and bank statements, and perform moderately complex analyses of performance results
• Support accounting and external reporting, including U.S. GAAP reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, KPIs, fixed assets, restructuring and intercompany charges
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, statistical reporting and statutory audit activities, and respond to auditor requests
• Contribute to strong controls and compliance, including Mondelēz International's AER policies, and support audit activities
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and landing estimates, ensure all BU fixed assets are tagged and assets are capitalised or disposed of on time and in compliance
• Manage internal and external stakeholders, work on multiple tasks, solve problems and meet deadlines

Required profile

• Qualified CA / ACCA / ICMA
• Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in the field
• Experience in FMCG/CPG or Big Four accounting preferred
• Proven business partnering and communication skills, and experience leading cross-functional finance teams preferred
• Integrity, sound judgement and a growth mindset, with a willingness to develop yourself and your peers

Required skills

• Technical expertise in accounting and external reporting, including U.S. GAAP, IFRS or local GAAP, close processes and financial reporting systems (SAP experience preferred)
• Knowledge of policy, controls and compliance design including SOX reporting
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office tools
• Knowledge of tax laws and concepts is a plus
