AI Search & Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an AI Search & Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) Specialist to lead our strategy for brand visibility on AI‑powered search and answer platforms. Working closely with SEO, content, and digital teams, you will focus on how brands are discovered, cited, and recommended across tools such as ChatGPT, Google AI experiences, Gemini, Perplexity and emerging generative search services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute AI Search, GEO and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) strategies for client accounts.
• Increase brand mentions, citations and recommendations on AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI.
• Analyse how AI systems retrieve and reference brand content, identifying visibility opportunities.
• Monitor AI visibility metrics, share of voice and competitor activity across generative search.
• Conduct competitor analysis to uncover why rival brands are referenced and propose improvements.
• Research and implement entity optimisation, semantic relevance, structured data, knowledge graphs and brand authority signals.
• Collaborate with SEO and content teams to ensure technical and organic strategies support AI visibility goals.
• Design testing frameworks to evaluate factors influencing AI citations and adapt tactics as LLMs evolve.
• Provide clear reporting, recommendations and education on AI visibility trends.

Required profile

• Strong passion for AI and deep understanding of the evolving search landscape.
• Highly analytical, curious and technically savvy with a proven ability to test and iterate new approaches.
• Experience in SEO, digital marketing or related fields, with a focus on emerging AI search platforms.
