Android Developer – Native Android & Flutter (Evening Shift)

About the role

OneScreen is seeking a hands‑on Android Developer to design, build, and scale native Android applications that power its educational technology devices. You will own features from architecture through release, working closely with product, design, QA, and firmware teams while supporting cross‑platform components built with Flutter.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android apps using Kotlin (and Java where needed) following MVVM or MVI patterns.
• Create responsive, accessible UI with Jetpack Compose or the traditional View system.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, handling authentication, caching, offline behavior, and error states.
• Contribute to shared Flutter modules for cross‑platform delivery.
• Optimize performance (startup time, memory, rendering, battery usage) and eliminate ANRs.
• Write unit and instrumentation tests; collaborate with QA to maintain test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab) and manage Play Store releases.
• Debug production issues using ADB, logcat, Android Profiler, crash reports, and analytics.
• Work with hardware and firmware teams to ensure correct behavior on real devices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of professional experience delivering native Android applications.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and working knowledge of Java.
• Willingness to work evening/night shifts aligned with US teams.
