Assistant Accountant with Team Management Skills

About the role

SAK Industries is looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join its finance team in Lahore and help manage the company's financial operations. The role involves supporting senior accounting staff in keeping accurate financial records and preparing key reports, while also managing a small team of three people. At least two years of relevant accounting experience is required.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and process accounts payable and receivable accurately and on time.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to match company records with bank statements.
• Prepare financial reports and statements used by senior accountants and management.
• Enter financial data accurately and document all transactions.
• Analyze financial data in Microsoft Excel to spot trends, anomalies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support the senior accounting team with month-end and year-end closing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Manage and supervise a team of three accounting staff, delegating tasks and giving guidance.
• Assist with audits by preparing documentation and answering audit questions.
• Help improve accounting processes and work with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Keep all financial information confidential and secure.

Required profile

• At least two years of relevant accounting experience.
