Assistant Manager Industry Growth

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Industry Growth will drive market research and strategy to expand the GCSS B2B footprint across Pakistan. Reporting to the Sr. Manager Industry Segment A – PO, the role focuses on identifying new growth areas and increasing market share.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market research to spot growth opportunities and develop strategic plans aligned with business targets.
• Analyse industry trends, solutions and competitive landscape to provide actionable insights for internal teams and clients.
• Perform city‑wise, product‑wise and industry‑wise analyses, identify performance gaps and create targeted action plans.
• Support target setting, track performance through structured reporting and data‑driven insights.
• Act as liaison between HQ and regional teams to ensure strategic alignment and execution.
• Map market potential geographically and build a robust sales pipeline covering cities, industries and products.
• Monitor regional pipelines, ensure effective field visits and conduct market sizing for all GCSS products.
• Develop sales targets, assign high‑potential accounts to sales teams and build business cases including forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred.
• 4‑6 years of relevant experience in market research, sales strategy or industry analysis.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, adaptability, time‑management and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint for management presentations.
• Analytical skills with understanding of ROI and business forecasting.
