Associate Financial Management Officer

About the role

The Asian Development Bank is seeking an Associate Financial Management Officer to join its Financial Management Division at the Pakistan Resident Mission. The role supports the bank’s mission to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development across the Asia‑Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and support annual project financial statement (APFS) and audited entity financial statement (AEFS) reviews, ensuring compliance and monitoring financial covenants.
• Perform financial due diligence for project processing, including cost estimates, financing plans, sustainability analyses, risk mitigation measures, and audit arrangements.
• Provide financial management support to project teams and executing/implementing agencies throughout project implementation.
• Contribute to country and regional strategy work, monitoring developments in country FM systems that affect project performance.
• Participate in knowledge‑building activities, design and deliver capacity‑building programs, and provide training on ADB financial management requirements.
• Execute other tasks as defined in the workplan, including missions and data maintenance in ADB systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferably with advanced training.
• Professional accounting qualification from an internationally recognized institution.
