Associate QA Engineer (Healthcare IT)

About the role

Medcare MSO, a large healthcare IT company based in the USA with over 1,000 employees, is hiring an Associate QA Engineer in Lahore. The role is full-time, on-site, with a 09:00 am to 06:00 pm shift, and suits candidates with 0-1 year of experience who can use Claude to support software quality assurance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios and test data using Claude.
• Execute functional, regression and smoke tests for healthcare applications.
• Identify, document and report defects with reproduction steps, expected and actual results.
• Use Claude to analyse requirements, generate test scenarios, review test coverage and improve QA documentation.
• Validate healthcare workflows such as patient demographics, scheduling, encounters, diagnoses, medications, laboratory, imaging and immunizations.
• Perform basic API testing with Postman and database validation with SQL; help validate data formats such as HL7 where needed.
• Maintain test execution reports and defect tracking in DevOps or similar tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and senior QA engineers to ensure product quality.

Required profile

• 0-1 years of experience; a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field is preferred.
• Basic understanding of healthcare workflows or willingness to learn EHR systems.
• Ability to review and validate AI-generated test cases and results rather than relying solely on them.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and the STLC, functional testing, regression testing, test case design and defect reporting.
• Practical ability to use Claude for test case generation, requirement analysis, test data creation and QA documentation.
• Advantageous: familiarity with DevOps, Postman and SQL.
