Associate Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Cloudelligent is seeking an Associate Quality Assurance Engineer to test and validate its in‑house SaaS and AI‑enabled products built on AWS. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with web‑based and AI‑driven applications, while providing mentorship to grow your QA expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of web and AI‑driven applications, covering smoke, regression, functional, UAT and deployment testing.
• Execute test plans and test cases, capture results and maintain documentation in JIRA.
• Leverage AI‑assisted testing tools such as Kiro for spec‑driven test case generation and QA documentation.
• Identify, document and track defects with clear, reproducible steps.
• Support test coverage across web applications and AI‑related workflows.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to understand requirements and designs.
• Contribute ideas to improve QA processes and adopt AI‑driven testing tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of QA experience with a solid understanding of frontend and backend testing concepts.
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies, including AWS services and AI‑assisted tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with a global, distributed team.
• Curiosity or prior exposure to AI‑assisted development/testing tools is a strong plus.

Required skills

• AWS basics (EC2, RDS, EKS, S3).
• JIRA for test management.
• SQL for backend data validation.
• Python (preferred) or basic programming knowledge.
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM and SDLC.
• Experience with AI‑assisted testing tools (e.g., Kiro, GitHub Copilot) is advantageous.
