Associate Software Engineer – Ruby on Rails

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Associate Software Engineer specializing in Ruby on Rails to join our growing development team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career professionals who want to gain hands‑on experience building web applications that have real impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimise web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement and enhance new features.
• Write clean, efficient and reusable code following best practices.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs to enable integrations.
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) for data storage, retrieval and performance tuning.
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve application issues while improving system performance.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold high code‑quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Up to 6 months of professional experience.
• Strong understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms and database concepts.
• Good problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
