AWS Engineer – Cloud (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure for high‑traffic applications. This remote contract position supports a global leader in software development and IT consulting, focusing on performance, cost efficiency, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Monitor system health with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third‑party tools.
• Troubleshoot incidents related to AWS services, networking, and security.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices for compliance and team knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with AWS services and a relevant certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Understanding of security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance frameworks.
