AWS Engineer – Cloud (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Engineer to design, deploy and manage scalable cloud infrastructure for high‑traffic applications. The position is fully remote and works on a contract basis, supporting a global leader in software development and IT consulting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and VPC.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild and CodeDeploy.
• Monitor performance and reliability with CloudWatch, CloudTrail and third‑party tools.
• Troubleshoot incidents related to AWS services, networking and security configurations.
• Document infrastructure, processes and best practices for compliance and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with AWS and a relevant certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Understanding of security best practices, IAM policies and compliance frameworks.
