Bid Manager – High‑Voltage Substation Projects

About the role

As an experienced bid professional in the energy or transmission sector, you will lead end‑to‑end tenders for high‑voltage substation projects that strengthen Pakistan's national grid. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, finance and legal experts to deliver winning, technically sound proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full bid lifecycle from tender analysis and bid/no‑bid decisions to timely submission of compliant technical and commercial proposals.
• Analyse client tender documents, technical specifications and contractual requirements to define a winning bid strategy and clear value proposition.
• Consolidate inputs from engineering, procurement and project management into robust cost estimates and pricing models.
• Conduct detailed technical, commercial and legal risk assessments and manage internal approvals.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, import/export controls and corporate governance standards.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors and partners, and participate in client negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering with a strong foundation in grid technologies and substation systems.
• 5‑8 years of experience in bid, proposal or tender management within substation, power transmission or broader energy sector.
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale infrastructure tenders in Pakistan or the Middle East.
• Strong commercial acumen, risk assessment expertise and knowledge of Pakistan's energy regulatory environment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to steer cross‑functional teams under tight deadlines.
