Bilingual Insurance Customer Service Representative (Cantonese/Mandarin)

About the role

Savvital is looking for a bilingual Insurance Customer Service Representative fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin, with professional-level English, to support an international client in the insurance industry. The role handles customer calls, policy servicing requests and coordination with insurance carriers, and suits a Chinese-speaking customer base; strong spoken Cantonese is highly preferred, though Mandarin speakers are also considered. It is a full-time, remote position.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer calls, answer inquiries and assist with routine insurance requests
• Process policy changes such as adding or removing vehicles and drivers, and updating customer information
• Help prepare insurance quotes and gather information for policy applications
• Communicate with insurance carriers in English to request information, process changes and follow up
• Direct calls to the right team members or departments
• Maintain accurate customer records and update policy information in the agency management system
• Follow up on customer requests and pending service matters
• Use agency management software and carrier portals to manage customer information and service requests

Required profile

• Fluent spoken Cantonese or Mandarin; Cantonese strongly preferred
• Professional English, especially with carriers and in written correspondence
• Previous customer service, call center, client support or administrative experience
• Strong phone etiquette, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple requests accurately
• Comfortable learning new software and carrier portals
• Availability to work 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday to Friday
• Stable internet connection and a quiet, professional remote workspace

Preferred qualifications

• Insurance industry experience, particularly personal lines, and familiarity with auto and home insurance policies
• Experience with vehicle or driver additions/removals, policy changes and quotations
• Experience with HawkSoft or other Agency Management Systems (AMS)
• Familiarity with carrier portals and policy administration
• Fluency in both Cantonese and Mandarin
