Branch Manager (AVP) – Retail Banking

About the role

The Branch Manager (AVP) will lead a bank branch’s retail operations, driving growth in consumer deposits, liabilities and wealth management while ensuring high‑quality service delivery. This senior position reports to the Regional Head and plays a key role in executing the bank’s sales strategy across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee overall branch management, including development of consumer, liability and wealth management business (Conventional & Aitemaad).
• Achieve branch sales targets and KPIs by promoting retail banking products to Existing‑to‑Bank (ETB) and New‑to‑Bank (NTB) customers.
• Ensure service standards meet competitive benchmarks, conduct customer satisfaction reviews and resolve complaints promptly.
• Maintain compliance with AML‑CFT regulations, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) PRs and international banking processes.
• Manage audit issues, monitor risk, and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Lead and develop branch staff, fostering a results‑driven and customer‑focused culture.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation from an HEC‑recognized university; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience in commercial banking, with a minimum of 3 years in a branch manager, branch operations manager or relationship manager role.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of branch banking operations and product portfolio.
• Comprehensive understanding of compliance regulations (AML‑CFT, SBP PRs) and international banking processes.
• Ability to handle audit issues and maintain high standards of customer service.
