Budgeting Unit Manager – Finance

About the role

The Budgeting Unit Manager leads the planning, coordination, and oversight of the bank's budgeting and financial planning processes. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the role ensures resources are allocated effectively, budgets align with strategic goals, and financial policies are adhered to.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, consolidation, and monitoring of annual and multi‑year budgets.
• Develop budget guidelines, timelines, and templates for all departments.
• Review departmental budget proposals to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Monitor budget execution, analyse variances, and provide corrective recommendations.
• Prepare financial forecasts, cost‑benefit analyses, and scenario‑planning reports.
• Deliver regular budget performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements.
• Coordinate with accounting, procurement, and finance units to maintain budget accuracy.
• Support strategic planning with financial insights and recommendations.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff within the Budgeting Unit.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in budgeting, financial planning or financial management.
• 2–3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting principles, financial analysis and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership abilities.
