Business Development Manager – Fintech Payments

About the role

We are looking for a local Pakistani professional with over 5 years of fintech payment business development experience to drive our innovative financial payment business in Pakistan. The role focuses on strategic cooperation with payment institutions, head chain merchant expansion, and building an offline merchant network.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth research on Pakistan’s payment industry policies, SBP regulations, and merchant acquiring market to identify opportunities.
• Develop and maintain core partnerships with mainstream banks, payment aggregators, EMI wallets and third‑party payment institutions, handling the full BD process from partner mining to contract signing.
• Expand head chain merchants and large B‑end enterprise clients in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, targeting supermarkets, retail fashion, catering and other high‑quality merchants.
• Manage revenue growth and performance, focusing on MDR sharing revenue, tracking transaction data and ensuring compliance with SBP regulations.
• Leverage local market advantages to expand industry contacts, promote the company’s fintech model and build brand reputation in Pakistan.

Required profile

• 5+ years of formal experience in Pakistan’s banking, payment aggregation, merchant acquiring or fintech business development.
• Prior work with mainstream banks, top payment institutions or fintech firms, with strong knowledge of SBP regulatory policies.
• Local Pakistani candidate based in Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi, with stable industry resources and market insight.
• Proven track record in institutional cooperation negotiation, large chain merchant development and project landing.
• Fluent in English and Urdu, with excellent business communication and cross‑department collaboration skills.
