CAD Designer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a CAD Designer to work remotely on 3D mechanical designs for AI hardware integration. The contractor will create, review, and optimise models to meet performance, manufacturability and compliance standards, directly supporting next‑generation AI infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D CAD models for mechanical components used in AI hardware systems.
• Conduct detailed design reviews to validate structural integrity, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design conflicts and incorporate feedback from simulations or testing.
• Generate technical documentation, including drawings, assembly instructions, and bill of materials for production.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client‑specific requirements for design validation and certification.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with 3D CAD software.
• Experience designing mechanical components for hardware systems, preferably in technology or AI infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and precision engineering best practices.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into manufacturable CAD models.

Required skills

• SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Fusion 360.
• GD&T.
• Simulation tools such as ANSYS or COMSOL.
