Cardiovascular Technologist

About the role

The Cardiovascular Technologist will join the cardiology team at Rehman Medical Institute to perform diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Working closely with cardiologists, the technologist ensures patient preparation, monitoring, and post‑procedure care in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate imaging and monitoring equipment for cardiovascular diagnostics.
• Assist in catheterisation laboratory (Cath Lab) procedures, including invasive imaging and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of all procedures.
• Follow safety, infection‑control, and radiation‑protection protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support timely and accurate diagnoses.
• Participate in quality‑improvement activities and patient education.

Required profile

• ARRT certification or equivalent radiologic credential.
• Diploma or degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related allied‑health field from an accredited institution.
• Prior experience in a hospital cardiology department or Cath Lab is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to patient safety, and ability to follow clinical protocols.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural setting.
