Cash Management Specialist

About the role

The Cash Management Specialist will oversee daily cash operations for PMCL and its subsidiaries, ensuring optimal liquidity, accurate cash positioning, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Reporting to the Manager/Head of Treasury Operations, the role requires close coordination with partner banks and internal finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and report daily cash positions and cheque release workings for PMCL and subsidiaries.
• Update cash flow forecasts and manage interbank fund movements based on payment requirements.
• Process fund transfer instructions, execute transfers, and follow up with banks to ensure timely settlement.
• Monitor overdraft utilization and plan interbank movements for overdraft settlement.
• Coordinate surplus fund placement, negotiate interest rates, and present investment options for management approval.
• Reconcile daily bank balances, prepare transfer reports for accounting, and maintain audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (MBA preferred).
• 2‑4 years of experience in cash management, treasury, or corporate banking operations.
• Preferred certifications: CFA Level I, ICMA, or other treasury/finance credentials.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of cash flow management, interbank transfers, and liquidity planning.
• Understanding of investment placement, interest rate negotiation, and treasury guidelines.
• Experience with daily cash reporting, fund transfer execution, and bank coordination.
