Cashier – Foundational Role

About the role

The National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA) is building its core team to modernise Pakistan's agri‑trade ecosystem. As a Cashier, you will join this foundational team, handling cash and cheque collections, ensuring accurate recording, and supporting financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process authorised cash, cheque and other approved payment instruments in line with established procedures and fee schedules.
• Issue official receipts promptly, maintain sequential control and proper documentation.
• Maintain daily cash book, receipt, cheque, deposit and cancellation registers with accuracy and timeliness.
• Deposit collections to designated bank accounts within approved timelines and retain supporting evidence.
• Perform daily reconciliation of receipts, collections and bank deposits; report any discrepancies immediately.
• Safeguard cash and financial instruments through secure storage, dual‑control and adherence to cash limits.
• Coordinate with Revenue/Accounts teams for posting, reconciliation and month‑end closing support.
• Maintain complete audit trails and provide records for internal or external audits.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the reporting authority.

Required profile

• Intermediate education (12 years) – bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant cashiering or collections experience, preferably in the public sector.
• Strong integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic computer and record‑keeping competence.
