Checkout Support Supervisor

About the role

The Checkout Support Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the checkout floor, ensuring smooth cash handling, accurate transaction reconciliation and high‑quality customer service. Reporting to the Department Manager, you will coordinate cashier schedules, train staff and act as a key point of contact for operational issues.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile MMS/MCOP reports with cash and credit transactions.
• Assist in scheduling cashiers according to shift requirements.
• Manage checkout floor operations, including cash tills and end‑control procedures.
• Implement and monitor customer service standards within the department.
• Train cashiers and support their ongoing development.
• Guide team members toward the competencies needed for future Department Manager roles.
• Greet customers, provide product information and resolve complaints.
• Gather competitor promotion and service information to inform business action plans.
• Coach and train staff on new concepts, technologies and functionalities.
• Contribute to the technical skill growth and positive attitude of the team.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by the line manager or senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
