Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Advanced Manufacturing

About the role

The Catalyst Group is recruiting a hands‑on Chief Executive Officer for a high‑precision manufacturing client. The CEO will transform an established operational base into a high‑performance, scalable manufacturing organization and lead the creation of a new factory.

Key responsibilities

• Build and launch manufacturing operations, including the development of a new facility.
• Define and execute company strategy in partnership with the Board of Directors.
• Scale production capabilities while driving operational excellence.
• Develop government, institutional, and commercial business channels.
• Oversee quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage financial performance, P&L, and capital allocation.
• Recruit, build, and lead the executive team and key functional leaders.
• Establish a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 10+ years in high‑end, technical or advanced manufacturing.
• 3–4+ years in an executive leadership role (CEO, COO, VP Manufacturing preferred).
• Strong mechanical engineering and manufacturing background.
• Proven experience setting up and scaling manufacturing facilities from ground‑up to production.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, automotive, heavy engineering or similar high‑precision sectors is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of CNC machining, precision manufacturing, assembly, and operations.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Quality Management expertise.
• P&L ownership, supply chain, and procurement experience.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949 or comparable quality management systems.
• Experience with CMM, SPC, metrology, and precision quality processes.
• Capability to manage capital expenditure and manufacturing expansion projects.
