Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Fintech, Karachi

About the role

The company is seeking a senior finance leader to head the financial function of its fast‑growing fintech business in Karachi. Reporting to the Group CEO and the offshore Board, the CFO will shape strategy, ensure regulatory compliance and drive capital‑raising initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute financial strategy, planning, capital allocation and treasury management.
• Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting across the organization.
• Ensure full compliance with State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) regulations, including filings, audits and reporting.
• Manage relationships with regulators, auditors, banks, legal advisors and other financial institutions.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk frameworks, policies and reporting processes.
• Prepare and present financial and regulatory reports for the Group CEO, offshore Board and Group HQ.
• Lead capital‑raising, funding strategy, investor and lender engagement, and effective capital deployment.
• Advise the CEO and senior leadership on growth, profitability, unit economics and overall financial strategy.
• Build and lead a lean finance team equipped with the systems and controls needed to scale.

Required profile

• 12+ years of finance leadership experience, including several years as a CFO or Deputy CFO.
• Hands‑on experience with SBP or SECP‑regulated lenders, NBFCs, EMIs, PSPs or similar fintech entities in Pakistan.
• Direct involvement in licensing and regulatory processes for NBFC, EMI or PSP.
• Proven track record in regulated financial services or fintech environments.
• Experience reporting to an offshore parent, Board or Group HQ, preferably in the Gulf region.
• Strong background in capital raising, funding, treasury and capital deployment.
• Relevant professional qualification such as ICAP, ACCA, CPA or CFA (preferred).
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and stakeholder‑management abilities.
