Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

The company seeks an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead financial operations, ensuring integrity and sustainability across accounting, taxation, reporting, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 10 accounting and tax professionals, assigning tasks and reviewing performance.
• Maintain customer, client and vendor ledgers, oversee receivables, payables and bank reconciliations.
• Manage inventory records, conduct stock counts and coordinate valuation with purchasing and retail.
• Handle all regulatory matters with FBR, SECP, PRA, SRA and ensure timely tax filings.
• Coordinate external auditors and chartered accountants for monthly returns and annual audits.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, support budgeting, monitor expenses and recommend cost controls.
• Produce monthly and annual financial reports and MIS for senior management.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, retail and purchasing on financial decisions, costing and pricing.
• Implement and improve accounting software (Oracle, QuickBooks, Peachtree/Sage) ensuring data accuracy and proper access.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience in accounts and taxation, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of Pakistani tax laws (Sales Tax Act, Income Tax Ordinance, provincial sales tax on services).
• Hands‑on experience with FBR IRIS, SECP Services and PRA/SRA portals.
• Education: ACCA, CA, Inter, ICMA, MBA Finance, M.Com or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in pharmaceutical, herbal, FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
