About the role
Plutus21 is seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer to own the finance function across its investment and operating divisions. Reporting directly to the founder and CEO, the CFO will sit on the leadership team and drive fiscal discipline, capital strategy, and the financial architecture of a multi‑entity, multi‑jurisdiction enterprise.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the firm’s financial strategy, planning, and capital allocation across all entities and divisions.
- Design, implement, and defend legal entity and tax structures, including U.S. federal and state configurations and new jurisdiction setups.
- Architect and govern complex intercompany transactions such as transfer pricing, cost allocation, intercompany lending, and cross‑border capital flows.
- Lead jurisdiction selection and structuring for new offices, vehicles, and operating entities to maximise tax efficiency and compliance.
- Oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance across all geographies.
- Serve as the primary financial counterpart to the CEO on capital, risk, and strategic decisions.
- Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, tax counsel, banks, and internal stakeholders.
- Build and scale the finance function, including hiring, systems, and process design.
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting tied to business objectives.
- Own governance, risk management, and treasury across the firm.
Required profile
- 7‑10 years of progressive finance experience, including senior financial leadership.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. tax structures at federal and state levels, including pass‑through and corporate vehicles.
- Proven expertise in complex intercompany transactions and cross‑border transfer pricing.
- Experience entering new jurisdictions and designing optimal entity and operating structures.
- Background in investment management, financial services, or multi‑entity holding structures.
- CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent credential strongly preferred.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and ability to handle confidential matters.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
