Chiller Operator

About the role

A permanent position for a Chiller Operator in Karachi, Pakistan, managing and maintaining critical cooling systems so that facilities run efficiently and stay comfortable. The role suits someone with a strong background in HVAC who takes pride in quality work.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chiller systems so they stay within their performance and energy-efficiency parameters.
• Carry out routine inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems and related HVAC equipment, fixing issues quickly.
• Run scheduled preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication and calibration of pressure gauges and temperature sensors.
• Read engineering schematics and DDC control interfaces to understand system design and diagnose problems.
• Follow all safety procedures during operation, maintenance and repair.
• Keep accurate records of operations, maintenance and parts used.
• Work with colleagues and other departments to support facility management goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in chiller operation and maintenance.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• HVAC Technician certification.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and carry out preventive maintenance.
• Solid grasp of safety procedures for HVAC operations.

Required skills
