Claims Intern

About the role

A client of PostEx is hiring a Claims Intern in Lahore. The intern supports the investigation of shipment-related claims and the handling of delivery complaints, while learning the logistics processes behind them.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in investigating shipment-related claims, identify discrepancies and collect evidence to determine the cause of the issue.
• Review delivery-related complaints, understand the issue and coordinate with relevant departments for investigation and resolution.
• Develop an understanding of the shipment lifecycle, including booking, transit, delivery, return shipments and Proof of Delivery (POD) / Proof of Return (POR) processes.
• Maintain claim records, update investigation trackers, analyse data and prepare reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Verify shipment details, delivery records, customer complaints, photographs, emails and other supporting documents.
• Follow up with operational teams to obtain investigation findings, evidence and timely responses.
• Help prepare claim summaries, identify recurring issues and highlight investigation gaps or process deviations.
• Ensure investigations and documentation follow the department's SOPs and escalation guidelines.

Required profile

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data filtering, sorting and spreadsheet maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of logistics, courier operations and shipment handling; ability to understand the delivery process and customer complaints.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accurate record review.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Eager to learn claim investigation procedures and willing to coordinate with multiple departments.
