About the role
The International Rescue Committee is launching a short‑term nutrition project in seven districts of Punjab province, funded by UNICEF. As a Community Outreach Worker you will coordinate and facilitate community‑focused activities, supporting the identification, screening and referral of malnourished children and women.
Key responsibilities
- Support design and implementation of outreach activities, including formation of community‑health committees and peer support groups.
- Conduct village‑based and door‑to‑door nutrition screening of children, pregnant and lactating women.
- Facilitate orientation sessions and regular meetings with peer support groups and community committees.
- Track and follow up referrals of identified women and children, ensuring timely linkage to services.
- Run awareness‑raising campaigns on nutrition, health and related topics.
- Collect activity data, record attendance and submit weekly reports to the District Program Officer.
Required profile
- Experience in community outreach, health or nutrition projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and report to supervisors.
- Strong communication skills for engaging community members and groups.
