Registered Nurse - Blood and Bone Marrow Diseases

About the role

The Centre for Blood and Bone Marrow Diseases (CBMD) in Multan is looking for a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse. The nurse provides direct patient care to people with blood and bone marrow diseases, hematological disorders and blood cancers, including administering medications and chemotherapy under established protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor patient status, perform assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Administer medications and chemotherapy under established protocols
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans and supportive care, and promote infection control, safety and quality standards
• Support physicians and other healthcare professionals during procedures
• Take part in multidisciplinary team meetings and help implement clinical guidelines
• Support educational and research activities within the centre

Required profile

• Valid registered nurse license and completed nursing education from an accredited institution; certification in oncology, hematology or critical care is an advantage
• Ability to give clear, empathetic education to patients and families about blood disorders, treatment plans and home care
• Strong organizational skills, reliability in shift-based work and composure in high-acuity or emotionally challenging situations
• Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to join training, educational sessions and research activities

Required skills

• Clinical skills in IV therapy, chemotherapy administration (where applicable), vital sign monitoring, patient assessment and management of treatment side effects
• Knowledge of infection control, patient safety protocols and quality standards in acute and outpatient care
• Proficiency in clinical documentation, basic computer use and electronic health record systems
• Effective communication and collaboration with physicians, pharmacists and allied health staff
