Compliance Officer – Banking

About the role

The Compliance Officer will ensure that ASA Microfinance Bank’s branches and head office adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies. Working across the Karachi and Hyderabad regions, the role involves conducting on‑site reviews, preparing reports, and supporting audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct compliance reviews of assigned branches in Karachi and Hyderabad according to the approved Compliance Review Plan and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare detailed compliance review reports, communicate observations to relevant branches and departments, and follow up to ensure timely closure.
• Perform on‑site compliance reviews of Head Office departments to assess adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with Head Office teams to resolve observations identified during branch and Head Office reviews.
• Assist the Regulatory Compliance Unit in implementing State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations, circulars, guidelines, and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance review documentation, supporting papers, and management information systems (MIS) for both branch and Head Office reviews.
• Support Internal Audit, External Audit, and regulatory inspections by providing required information and assisting with compliance‑related tasks.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager or Supervisor.
