Continuity Specialist - Dental

About the role

The Continuity Specialist – Dental provides temporary coverage for EDGE talent who are on leave, ensuring uninterrupted service for dental clients. When not on a coverage assignment, the specialist supports EDGE operations, Marketplace, and EDU initiatives while staying ready for future assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Step into temporary client assignments, quickly adapting to workflows, systems, and communication standards.
• Verify dental insurance eligibility, calculate patient financial responsibility, and document information in the practice management system.
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on dental claims, handling rejections, appeals, and adjustments.
• Submit prior authorizations and pre‑determination requests, track pending items, and communicate status to the dental team and patients.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments, manage provider calendars, and handle inbound/outbound patient calls.

Required profile

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism across multiple client environments.
• Flexibility to support various dental functions based on experience and business needs.
• Proactive communication with EDGE and client stakeholders regarding workload, priorities, and handovers.
