Operations Support Associate - Healthcare

About the role

The Operations Support Associate serves as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout their care journey. This role combines high‑quality customer service with patient registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to appointment requests, phone calls, emails and electronic messages, greeting patients with professionalism, empathy and compassion.
• Accurately register patients, schedule, reschedule and confirm appointments using the health record system, and collect/update demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance coverage, obtain pre‑authorizations, explain benefits, and process co‑pays, deductibles and other financial responsibilities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to maintain smooth patient flow and up‑to‑date records, supporting day‑to‑day operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or a related field.
• Prior experience in healthcare administration, patient registration or customer service is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes and health‑record systems.
