Cost Accounting Manager – Associate Manager Accounts & Costing

About the role

ASTO Life Sciences is seeking a detail‑oriented Cost Accounting Manager to lead end‑to‑end costing processes. The role focuses on accurate product costing, landed cost calculations, and financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems that capture purchase price, freight, customs duties, taxes, and clearing charges.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements in line with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Conduct costing, pricing, and profitability analyses across products, customers, and business segments.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting activities, monitoring performance against targets.
• Perform detailed landed‑cost calculations incorporating all import‑related expenses.
• Analyse accounts payable and receivable to ensure healthy cash flow.
• Collaborate with procurement, supply‑chain, and sales teams to gather data for accurate costing.
• Support senior management with financial reports for strategic planning.
• Maintain inventory accounting controls and reconcile stock valuations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong foundation in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and landed‑cost calculations.
• Proven ability to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
• Experience analysing profitability, cost‑volume‑profit, and product margins.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
