Credit Manager (AVP) – Risk Management

About the role

The Credit Manager (AVP) will support the Regional Executive in reviewing and analysing credit proposals for SME, commercial and agricultural clients. This role focuses on quantitative, qualitative and climate-related assessments while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse credit proposals, including financial statements and collateral structures.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and State Bank of Pakistan prudential regulations.
• Assist in internal and external audits and coordinate with business units for required information.
• Evaluate reputational, climate and sustainability risks associated with credit exposures.
• Perform any additional assignments delegated by supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation (preferably accounting or finance) from a recognized university.
• At least 6 years of experience in commercial or SME banking, or risk management within a commercial bank.
• Strong knowledge of SME and commercial financing products and various types of collateral.
• Good interpersonal skills and awareness of SBP prudential regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
