Customs Clearance Specialist (Import/Export)

About the role

GSF Services SMC PVT LTD is seeking a detail‑oriented Customs Clearance Specialist to manage and process import and export shipments in Karachi. The role focuses on ensuring full compliance with customs regulations, verifying documentation, and coordinating with logistics partners to achieve timely clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Process import and export documentation accurately to meet customs regulations and company policies.
• Utilize customs brokerage software to prepare, submit, and track clearance filings.
• Verify shipment documents such as invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehousing agents to support logistics operations.
• Monitor and interpret customs regulations and trade restrictions.
• Liaise with customs authorities to resolve clearance issues and expedite releases.
• Maintain records of customs transactions and generate related reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve clearance processes.
• Support transportation management systems (TMS) for shipment tracking and scheduling.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in customs clearance or related import/export functions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to new procedures.
• Excellent communication skills in English for interaction with freight forwarders, clients, and regulatory agencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with customs brokerage software.
• Experience using transportation management systems (TMS).
