Cyber Security Analyst (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to monitor and analyze security events for a global technology leader. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive data.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact, and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Prepare detailed incident reports documenting findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys.
• Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Ability to analyze logs and network traffic for anomalies.
• Experience with incident response procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated and able to manage time effectively in a remote environment.
