Data Architect - Commerce + ESL (Adobe Commerce / Magento)

About the role

An experienced Data Architect for Commerce and Enterprise Service Layer (ESL) is sought to lead the architecture, design and governance of enterprise commerce data platforms and integration ecosystems. The role defines scalable, secure and high-performance commerce architecture and works with business, product, engineering, security, infrastructure and enterprise architecture teams to deliver robust digital commerce solutions. The position is offshore.

Key responsibilities

• Define end-to-end architecture for Commerce and ESL solutions
• Design integrations between Adobe Commerce (Magento) and ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, CMS, payment gateways, inventory and fulfillment systems
• Define API, microservices, messaging and event-driven integration architectures
• Set architecture standards for API security, authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, observability and performance
• Drive architecture governance and compliance with enterprise architecture standards
• Lead commerce, integration, backend, frontend and platform engineering teams and review technical designs
• Identify technical risks, dependencies and constraints, and collaborate with stakeholders on scalable architecture
• Maintain architecture diagrams, integration specs, API standards and documentation; support headless, composable and cloud-native modernization

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect or Data Architect delivering digital commerce and enterprise integration solutions
• Proven architecture experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento)
• Strong knowledge of ESL architecture and enterprise integration frameworks
• Stakeholder management, communication and technical leadership
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field is preferred
