Data Governance Architect – Morning Shift

About the role

We are looking for a Data Governance Architect to lead and support data governance initiatives across the bank. The role focuses on managing data domains, critical data elements, and maintaining the Business Glossary and Data Catalog while ensuring compliance with data management standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and manage data domains and critical data elements.
• Create and maintain the Business Glossary and Data Catalog.
• Assess and operationalize technical metadata harvesting.
• Prepare and maintain data lineage aligned with data management standards.
• Collaborate with technology leads, business analysts, data owners, and stewards to enhance the data catalog and policy library.
• Lead data governance meetings at multiple levels and produce presentations on data management maturity.
• Develop and refine data governance program standards related to metadata and reference data management.
• Promote data accountability, ensure regulatory and geographic compliance, and track governance effectiveness through scorecards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in data‑related projects or programs, especially in metadata management and data governance implementation.
• Practical experience applying data management standards such as DAMA within a banking environment.
• Strong understanding of data governance policies, standards, metrics, controls and processes.
• Knowledge of legal, compliance and regulatory issues affecting data, including geographic storage restrictions.
