Data Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for a global software development leader. The position is fully remote and offers the chance to work with cross-functional teams delivering data-driven solutions that support business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data extraction, transformation and loading.
• Implement and maintain data warehouses and data lakes to enable analytical and operational reporting.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accessibility, integrity and usability.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Document data architecture, processes and standards for compliance and team reference.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Airflow, Spark or comparable frameworks.
• Knowledge of data modelling and data-warehouse design principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) for data infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with focus on scalability and performance.
