Deputy Manager – Taxation (Corporate)

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Deputy Manager Taxation to join our finance team on a permanent, full‑time basis. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring tax compliance, shaping tax strategy, and supporting the company’s financial excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all corporate tax compliance activities, ensuring accurate and timely filing of returns and related documentation.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimise liabilities while aligning with business objectives.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant tax laws, including VAT/GST and transfer pricing policies.
• Prepare for and manage tax audits, coordinating with tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reflect correct tax positions in financial reporting.
• Analyse complex tax data using advanced Excel and tax software to identify risks and support decision‑making.
• Lead and mentor the tax team, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in corporate taxation.
• Proven expertise in corporate tax, tax planning, VAT/GST, and transfer pricing.
• Demonstrated experience managing tax audits and interacting with tax authorities.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and its tax implications.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with tax software.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
