Design Engineer – Smart Infrastructure (Karachi)

About the role

Join Siemens Smart Infrastructure as a Design Engineer in Karachi, where you will help create resilient, energy‑efficient solutions for buildings and industries. You will work on detailed designs for protection, automation, and LV/MV switchgear, collaborating closely with customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed designs of protection and automation systems based on customer specifications.
• Develop detailed LV and MV switchgear designs in line with project requirements.
• Attend customer meetings and site visits to obtain design approvals.
• Achieve KPIs set by the engineering manager and support tender processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant design experience.
• Customer‑focused mindset with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong desire for continuous learning and staying updated on industry standards.
• Solutions‑oriented attitude balancing technical excellence and commercial viability.
